Founder & Executive Director

Sherrie Storey is the Founder and Executive Director of Southern Colorado Fire Resilience Partnership. With a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and more than a decade of experience in wildfire mitigation, fuels management, and community resilience, she launched the organization to reestablish hands-on involvement in wildfire mitigation and support community-based fire resilience efforts across Southern Colorado.

Her background includes hands-on mitigation planning, community chipping and slash removal programs, wildfire risk evaluations, and collaboration with state and local partners. Sherrie has worked with and supported organizations such as the Colorado State Forest Service, Pikes Peak Wildfire Prevention Partners, Firewise USA®, and Fire Adapted Colorado.

Through Southern Colorado Fire Resilience Partnership, she brings together landowners, communities, and nonprofit partners, applying her unique blend of technical and data-informed expertise to reduce wildfire risk and strengthen long-term resilience.
