Why Fire Resilience Matters
Southern Colorado faces increasing wildfire risk due to climate conditions, vegetation buildup, and expanding development in fire-prone areas. Proactive, collaborative action is essential to protect lives, property, and landscapes.
On-the-Ground Wildfire Mitigation Expertise
Wildfire home and property risk evaluations in wildland–urban interface communities
Development of site-specific fire mitigation prescriptions for small residential lots and large acreage properties
Fuels mitigation planning and oversight in complex environments, including high-value and high-risk sites
Management of community slash removal and chipping crews and events
Publication of Personal Wildfire Action Plans tailored to community-level risk and preparedness
Formerly certified Firefighter Type II, bringing firsthand understanding of fire behavior, suppression operations, safety protocols, and the realities of working on the fireline

End-to-end grant coordination, compliance tracking, reporting, and follow-up
